Common House Spider spotted by Bruce McCormick: “What seemed rather strange to me was her (presumption due to egg sacks) location. About an hour ago i uploaded a funnel web type spider next to an outdoor lamp. This picture was taken at the other lamp but just about 5cm above her i noticed another funnel with the silhouette of a spider just like pictures a bit ago. Are spiders this friendly to one another?” in the SpiderSpotter App on 22.09.2024

Cross Orbweaver spotted by Bruce McCormick: “Sorry for the lousy picture! I know it won’t attack me but it was kind of scary looking and the web was a mess, it looked a cross between an orb web and the tangles a black widow will lay out.” in the SpiderSpotter App on 16.08.2024

unknown species spotted by Bruce McCormick: “Sorry! I’ll get better at this. I didn’t know if i should focus on the spider or the web. The web went from the side of the house to a lamp, a funnel about 30cm long and 20cm wide at the opening (obviously…). The web was almost more insects than web, she’s got a prime spot. At first i did not notice her inside as i was partially blinded by the light, but when i focused on her i was amazed at seeing “her” postured for the next visitor-” in the SpiderSpotter App on 22.09.2024

Wasp Spider spotted by Bruce McCormick: “She’s got one fly for dinner and it looks like she had another as an appetizer. Web it’s just outside or kitchen/back door and i hope she lasts without anyone or thing bothering her! Kind of close to the ground, only a foot or two above, so i am kind of worried about her-” in the SpiderSpotter App on 22.09.2024
