Tenen un disseny molt arestat que el fan molt perillosos, especialment de nit, perquè són invisibles des de la perspectiva del ciclista. A cap enginyer de camins li passaria pel cap posar uns cubs de ferro a tocar de la calçada d’una carretera o autopista, aleshores per què aquí?? Hi ha perill de col·lió frontal entre ciclistes i amb aquestes luminàries. El paviment és molt rugós, la qual cosa afecta directament al rendiment i desgat.
