Der Baum steht auf einem kleinen flachen Wiesenstück; rundum gibt es zahlreiche Äcker. Hinweis: Dieser "Birnbaum auf dem Walserfeld" spielt eine wichtige Rolle im spannungsreichen Sagenkreis rund um den Untersberg sowie Kaiser Karl der Große. Nachdem der alte Baum gefällt werden musste, wurde 2015 eine Neupflanzung vorgenommen.” in the Naturkalender App on 19.11.2023
