Brush-turkey spotted by KMG413: “I walk past this male brush turkey most days. He has been building/maintaining his nest for a number of months. Ive noticed the same female in the immediate area for 7-10 days. The male was digging out the top of the nest this morning. The female is close to the nest fluffed up & looking “broody”. Büste spotted by lockeport: “Von der Dorfgemeinschaft Kurzach erhielt 1989 der bekannte Steinmetz und Bildhauer Berthold Teske - heute wohnhaft in Kremmen (Brandenburg) - den Auftrag einen Dorfbrunnen für den Dorfplatz zu gestalten. Schnell wurde ein scheinbar geeigneter Steinbrocken (15 Tonnen) in einem nahen Steinbruch gefunden. Um den Stubensandstein auf seine Eignung für das Projekt zu prüfen, hat der Künstler vor Ort direkt im Steinbruch eine kunstvolle Probearbeit in den Fels gemeißelt. So entstand innerhalb weniger Stunden die sogenannte „Kurzacher Madonna". Durch das kleine Kunstwerk hat der Steinbruch eine mythische Ausstrahlung bekommen.
