Multi-row tree-lined avenues consist of three or more rows of trees along a path or road. In addition to historic landscapes, they are also created today in areas where, in addition to a road, an accompanying bike path or farm road is lined with trees.
A characteristic feature is at least three parallel rows of trees, although landscapes with four or more rows may also occur.
Multi-row avenues offer particularly diverse habitats, enhance connectivity among species, and have a significant impact on the landscape.
