Robinia pseudoacacia
- Height: up to 25 m
- Trunk: initially smooth and brownish, later with deep, winding longitudinal fissures and bulges, grey to dark brown bark
- Leaves: imparipinnate, alternate leaves up to 25 cm long, with 11–17 oval leaflets having smooth margins, dull green, grey-green underneath, 15–30 cm long, with stipule spines
- Flowers: striking white, pendulous papilionaceous flowers in clusters, strongly fragrant, valuable for pollinators
- Fruits/Seeds: 5–10 cm long pods/siliques containing 4–10 seeds, appearing from August/September, remain on the tree for a long time
- Other: Common urban tree, nitrogen-fixing
