Quercus spp.

- Trunk: gray-brown bark, longitudinally fissured, ribbed
- Leaves: clearly lobed, 6-17 cm long
- Buds: Light brown buds clustered at the end of the branch
- Fruit/seed: ovoid with a fruit cup
