Prunus spp.

  • Height: up to 20 m depending on species, exceptions up to 30 m
  • Trunk: flat-cracked bark, partly shiny, lenticels form clearly horizontal structures
  • Crown: often broadly spreaded
  • Leaves: elongated ovate to elliptical, 7-12 cm long, pointed
  • Flowers: beautiful white flowers in April/Mai, in 2 to 3-flowered umbels
  • Fruits/seeds: cultivated cherry with aromatic, red to black-red drupes
