Populus x canadensis
- Height: up to 30 m, fast-growing
- Trunk: grey bark
- Crown: broad, widely spreading crown
- Leaves: triangular to rhombic in shape, pointed, 7–10 cm long, finely toothed margin, flattened petiole, reddish
- Flowers: reddish, pendulous male catkins and greenish female catkins in March/April before leaf emergence
- Fruits/Seeds: two-valved capsules with hairy seeds in May/June
- Other: Hybrid of Canadian and native black poplar
